Pyrit
Schon in der Steinzeit wurden mit Feuerstein abgeschlagene funkensprühende Pyrit Stücke zur Feuerentfachung genutzt.
Neben den chemischen Bezeichnungen Schwefelkies, Eisenkies sagt man für Pyrit auch Narrengold, Lebereisenerz oder Katzengold.
Ein Teil Eisen und 2 Teile Schwefel bilden die schönen golden glänzenden kubischen Kristalle aus der Klasse der Sulfide.
60 unterschiedliche Kristallformen sind bekannt.
Eisen und Schwefel spielen in der Biochemie bei der Entstehung von Lebensformen eine wichtige Rolle.
Die positiv geladenen Pyrit Kristallflächen sind voller Energie und Dynamik, um biochemische Synthesereaktionen einzuleiten.
Pyrit ist ein natürlicher Halbleiter mit vielen elektrische Einsatzgebieten, z.B. als Kristalldetektor zur Demodulation.
